District 65 Strategic Planning Process
We kicked off the new school year inspired by the idea that we must work together to support the learning of every child, every day, by doing whatever it takes. While each day offers an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our children, it’s important that we think about and plan for their future. This fall, Evanston/Skokie School District 65 launched a strategic planning process that set priorities that will guide our work over the next five years.* The previous District 65 Five-year Strategic Plan expired this year and with new leadership, the time was right to engage in thinking and planning for the future.
We offered multiple opportunities for engagement, including focus groups and an online survey, to make sure that everyone's voice could be heard. In order to develop a strong, effective plan that reflected the issues and concerns of all stakeholders, it was necessary for everyone to get involved. Special thanks to the nearly 2,000 individuals, including parents, teachers, students, administrators, staff, and community members that provided input during the process. Their participation was invaluable. Click here for a summary of the feedback we received during the planning process. The final version of the District 65 strategic plan was unanimously approved by the School Board at their meeting on March 23, 2015.
